Annecy recently saw one of its former players, Madyen El Jaouhari, extend his contract with Carouge, a club in the Swiss Challenge League. The 27-year-old midfielder, who joined Carouge in 2023, signed for an additional season after playing 32 out of 36 possible matches. El Jaouhari, who was trained at ETG, played a key role in FC Annecy's promotion to Ligue 2 in 2022. His impact within the team has been significant, with two assists to his name and even two occasions to wear the captain's armband. This extension highlights his value within the Carouge squad, which finished seventh last season. Meanwhile, Johann Durand, another former player from FC Annecy, will continue his role as goalkeeper coach at Carouge until 2026-2027, further strengthening the ties between the two clubs.
