FC Annecy officially announced on Tuesday, June 2, the arrival of V Sports as a shareholder. This British holding company, owner of Aston Villa, has acquired a minority stake of 30% for an investment of €4.5 million, according to the newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré. The agreement was unanimously approved by the club's shareholders during a meeting. This news is particularly positive for FC Annecy, which finished seventh in Ligue 2 last season. The capital injection comes at a crucial time, as the club must present itself before the DNCG on June 10. The funds provided by V Sports are expected to secure this review. In addition to its investment in Annecy, V Sports also holds stakes in other clubs, including Vitoria SC in Portugal and Real Union Irún in Spain. The club is also planning to open a training center by the summer of 2027, which could further strengthen its long-term development.
