FC Annecy has made a significant move by signing four new players for its reserve team, which will compete in National 2 for the first time in its history. This promotion, combined with the U18 R1 moving up to U19 Nationaux, has led to an active transfer market this June. Among the new signings are forward Sonny Yvars, previously with Saint-Étienne U19, and central midfielder Tom Palma, who joined the club after a season at Valence R1. Additionally, 23-year-old Malagasy winger Olivier Picabea has signed after finishing his season at La Tamponnaise in R1 La Réunion. Finally, central defender or right-back Yoann Dumay, trained at Strasbourg, has also joined FCA after playing at Alençon in N3.
However, the club is also facing significant departures. Thirteen players will leave FC Annecy, including key figures like midfielder and captain Yanis Méguirèche, who spent 15 years at the club, and central defender Théo Falconnier, who wore the annécien colors for 17 years. Other players, such as forward Ibrahim Raache and several defenders and midfielders, will not continue with the club. These changes mark a transitional period for FC Annecy, which hopes to build a competitive team for its first season in National 2.
