FC Annecy will use the three-week international break to adjust the athletic condition of its squad. The Savoyard club, currently seventh in Ligue 2 with ten points, has just come through a tough run of five matches, with one win, one draw and three defeats.

"This period will allow us to adjust the athletic forms of the squad," the club's staff said. The break follows a home defeat to Dijon (1-2) on September 18. The schedule has been heavy since the end of June, with late signings like Oduro and Fofana needing to integrate quickly, and players like Veillon featuring more than expected.

Unlike the six-week break forced by the 2022 World Cup, this international window is shorter and falls within the summer preparation period. The aim is clear: to regain optimal physical levels for the return to action away to Dunkerque on October 9. The trip to face the twelfth-placed side will mark the return to competition.

Annecy's last win dates back to September 4 at Grenoble (2-1). The staff, hailing from Haute-Savoie, intend to use these match-free days to correct course and prepare for the rest of the season.
