FC Annecy supporters were targeted after the 2-1 home defeat to Dijon on 18 September. Two members of the Aigles Rouges group were attacked by around ten individuals identified as ultras from Olympique Lyonnais.

The assault took place near the stadium after the final whistle. The attackers used tear gas and stole the Aigles Rouges' banner and flags. This group, which describes itself as inclusive and popular, is the club's third supporters group after Fécé Force 12 and the Raiders. It was formed last season.

The Lyon group Lyon 1919, responsible for the attack, is not officially recognised by Olympique Lyonnais. It is known for organising fights and stealing banners, an act considered a major humiliation in ultra culture. No injuries were reported following the incident.

This attack comes as FC Annecy, seventh in Ligue 2 with 10 points, have suffered two consecutive defeats. The team had started the match against Dijon well with a goal from Clément Billemaz in the 41st minute, before losing to a Júlio Tavares brace. Annecy's next fixture is away to Dunkerque, currently 12th in the table, on 9 October.
