FC Annecy has confirmed the home venue for its reserve team for the 2026-2027 National 2 season. The Reds announced that the team will play at the Complexe sportif d'Albigny in Annecy-le-Vieux. This decision comes as the first team sits 6th in Ligue 2 with 7 points, five points behind leaders Saint-Étienne.
FC Annecy's reserve team, champions of Regional 1 last season, has been promoted to National 2. This promotion comes with new regulatory requirements for infrastructure. The annex pitches at the Parc des Sports, home of the professional side, are not approved for this level of competition. The club therefore had to find a solution to allow its reserves to play home matches in compliant conditions. The Complexe sportif d'Albigny meets these criteria and becomes the new home for the reserve team's fixtures.
Entry to National 2 matches will be completely free. Tickets will be available at the stadium ticket office on match days. Doors will open one hour and thirty minutes before each kickoff. This free access policy aims to attract as many supporters as possible to back the club's young talents. The first home fixture is set for Saturday, September 5th at 6:00 PM against CA Pontarlier. The public is invited to come in numbers to support the Reds, who just won a thrilling 4-3 match against ASPTT Dijon on the opening day.
This announcement concerning the reserve squad comes in a positive context for the Haute-Savoie club. The first team, after four Ligue 2 matchdays, has a record of two wins, one draw, and one loss. They have scored five goals and conceded four, for a positive goal difference of +1. Their next outing, an away trip to local rivals Grenoble on September 4th, is an important derby. The reserve section of FC Annecy is a key link in player development and preparation for the elite. Its promotion to National 2 represents a significant step in the club's growth. Playing in a suitable venue like Albigny provides an optimal environment for these prospects to progress. The club is counting on this structure to eventually feed the professional squad, which you can explore on our squad page. The first home test against Pontarlier this weekend will be the chance to launch this new chapter on a positive note in front of local fans.
