FC Annecy is focusing on the Alpine derby in Grenoble this Friday as several topics occupy the Ligue 2 club. Between the latest match news, player movements, and transfer rumors, the schedule is busy for the Haut-Savoyard club, which sits sixth in the table with seven points.

FC Annecy faces its Grenoble neighbor this Friday night for the fifth matchday of Ligue 2, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré. This derby is a chance to confirm regional dominance after a win secured last year at the Stade des Alpes. Central defender Axel Drouhin highlighted the match's importance for new players.

“It's an interesting match to play,” Drouhin told Le Dauphiné Libéré. “New players will discover this derby, it's up to us to get them in the mood to get a result.” The club, which has a record of two wins, one draw, and one loss this season, aims to pick up points before the three-week international break.

FC Annecy saw another young talent leave its academy this week, according to Le Dauphiné Libéré. Attacking midfielder Prince Nkongue Tiki joined AS Monaco after being recruited this summer for the U17 Nationals. This departure follows that of Quentin Paris to Reims in June.

The Haut-Savoyard club cannot protect its young players with contracts for minors, as it does not yet have an official training center. It is scheduled to be built by summer 2027. Despite interest from Aston Villa, the player's family chose Monaco, where Tiki signed a two-year aspirant contract. His older brother, Joss, also came through FCA before continuing his development elsewhere.

The portal AfricaSoccer reports FC Annecy's interest in Tunisian-French forward Fares Bousnina. The 20-year-old currently plays for Bologna U20, where he is under contract until June 2027. Born in La Seyne-sur-Mer, he was developed at OGC Nice before moving to Italy.

Bousnina has not yet played a match for Bologna's Primavera this season. His market value is estimated at €100,000, down from the €150,000 paid during his transfer. A return to France in Ligue 2 could offer him more playing time. FC Annecy has scored five goals and conceded four in four matchdays.

FC Annecy currently occupies sixth place in the Ligue 2 standings with seven points. The team suffered a defeat against Reims before drawing with Metz last week. They are five points behind leaders Saint-Étienne and have a positive goal difference of +1.

After the derby in Grenoble, the schedule includes a trip to Guingamp on September 12. The Breton team is eleventh in the table. This run of matches before the international break will be key for the rest of the season. The squad list is available on our squad page.

The GF38 website detailed practical information for Friday's match at the Stade des Alpes. Gates will open at 6:00 PM, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00 PM. Animations are planned on the west forecourt before the match, with the mascot Arthi present.

It is possible to purchase a parking spot directly on the Grenoble club's online ticketing platform. Organizers encourage the use of public transport. Since July 2025, smoking and vaping have been prohibited within the stadium. FC Annecy will play its next match away against EA Guingamp on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
