FC Annecy lost their latest Ligue 2 match, conceding a late double from Júlio Tavares to fall 1-2 at home to Dijon on Friday. This home defeat highlights a persistent weakness in the squad: an inability to manage games after conceding the opening goal.
Clément Billemaz had opened the scoring for Annecy in the 41st minute. But the team failed to hold onto their lead. Dijon equalised through Tavares in the 77th minute, and the same player secured the win for the visitors just five minutes later.
Manager Guyot did not hide his dissatisfaction after the match. "I am not very happy with certain details from my team," he said. He is referring to a worrying trend. Last season, Annecy picked up just one point from the nine matches in which they conceded first, suffering eight defeats.
This setback leaves Annecy in 7th place in the table with 10 points after seven matchdays. Recent form is patchy, with three losses, one draw and one win in their last five outings. The next trip is to Dunkerque on October 9th, a fixture that demands greater defensive discipline.
