Annecy prepares its 2027 training center, a step towards stability

The Ligue 2 club, Annecy, is preparing its 2027 training center, a project that should limit the loss of its young talents. The age minimal required to sign a contract with a player was 20 years, but it will now be lowered to 16 years.

A new shareholder in the club's capital

In June, Annecy announced the acquisition of a part of its capital by the holding V Sports, owner of Aston Villa. This entry takes place in a process of capital increase and V Sports arrives as a minority shareholder (30%). Two young players from Aston Villa arrived in Haute-Savoie this summer.

A training center in 2027 for the club's centenary

The delivery of the future training center should allow the Annecy club to limit the loss of its young talents. Until now, the age minimal required to sign a contract with a player was 20 years. It will now be lowered to 16 years, which should encourage Annecy to bet on formation and trading in the long term.

Laurent Guyot, the loyal coach

While half of the L2 clubs have changed coaches during the off-season, Laurent Guyot is loyal to his position. He is indeed the coach with the longest tenure in front of a certain Didier Santini, present since December 2022 at the head of the Raf. On the Annecy bench, Guyot allowed the Savoyard club to access Ligue 2 in its first year, finishing second in National.
